How it works

Nomination and application process

To sign up for a chance at getting a place in the Finals of the New Balance All-Star Mile 2022, you must complete all of the following steps:

Nomination period
23 November-8 December 2022
  1. Receive a nomination from your Singapore Athletics-affiliated club/school.

Note: If a Singapore Athletics member or an educational institution/school is eligible, it will automatically be sent a link to the NB All-Star Mile nomination form with invitation code(s) by email by 23 November 2022. If your Singapore Athletics-affiliated club or school has not yet received the email or has questions regarding the process, please feel free to share this information with the representatives directly or ask them to contact us at [email protected] .

  2. Receive a notification email with instructions to complete the application process at the addresses provided by your Singapore Athletics-affiliated club/school once we find the nomination complete.
Qualifying window
21 November-9 December 2022
  1. Race a time trial of one mile (1609m) on a level surface and log it in a single outdoor run activity (without pausing or stopping) with a GPS running tracker using imperial measurements .

Note: You may log as many one-mile runs as you wish during the qualifying window but you can submit only one time trial result. Additionally, the distance logged must be equal to one mile or marginally greater (no more than a differential of 10%). If the distance logged is greater than one mile, the time trial result will automatically be adjusted based on your pace to exactly one-mile.

  2. Capture a screenshot of the time trial result. It must clearly show the date, distance logged, time taken and average pace of the run. Screenshot without either of the information will be rejected.
Application period
23 November-9 December 2022
  1. Navigate to the Enter section of the NB All-Star Mile website.
  2. Apply for a place for your category via Singapore Athletics member/school entry.
  3. Complete the online application form and include details of your name, NRIC/FIN/Student ID number, residential status, sex, date of birth, age, email address, contact number, emergency contact name, emergency contact mobile number, emergency contact relationship, medical condition (if any), name of organisation/institution (if any), CCA club/society (if any), Instagram handle (if any), race t-shirt size (Asian fit) and shoe size (US). Once this has been completed, you are also required to provide details of your time trial (date, distance logged, time taken and average pace) and upload a screenshot of your time trial result.
  4. Note: Ensure that the information you have provided in the application is correct before submitting it.

Important: If you would like a better chance of getting a spot in the race, you can opt to enter via both methods of entry during your submission. If awarded a Singapore Athletics member/school place, your application under the public entry will automatically be withdrawn.

Application outcome
  1. If you qualify for a place, we will be in touch with you directly and you are required to accept/decline it by the stipulated deadline given in the confirmation email.
  2. Note: Due to the large volume of applications we receive, we will only be able to contact participants who qualify.
